Women ‘Should Enjoy Guilt-Free Escapism’
By admin • May 24th, 2010Women in the UK are leading increasingly hectic lives, it could be said.
Indeed, when ladies are juggling a job with raising children, on top of trying to keep up with friends and family, maintain a clean and attractive house and further themselves by taking up hobbies, they may find they have barely a minute left to themselves at the end of the day.
Recent research by Starbucks Discoveries appears to confirm this, revealing that 15 per cent of the women surveyed admitted they never have time for even a brief moment of escapism.
Furthermore, one-third of busy females only get one or two chances during the day for some much needed mental respite.
But commenting on the news, one author has claimed that ladies should not feel guilty for taking some time out.
Heidi Rice is the author of books such as Unfinished Business With The Duke, ‘Bedded By A Bad Boy and Pleasure, Pregnancy And A Proposition.
She advised ladies to ensure they prioritise their time as even a ten minute break will help them to relax.
"Women need to just say to themselves ‘I deserve this’. Don’t have any guilt about taking that ten minutes. I think women tend to worry about things like that," Ms Rice recommended.
Do you get enough time to chill out?
