Robert Pattinson And Co-Stars Kick-Off New Moon Mania
By admin • Nov 12th, 2009Thousands of Twilight fans descended on London last night (November 11th) to get a glimpse of heartthrob Robert Pattinson as he and his co-stars arrived in the capital for the premier of the latest instalment of the franchise, New Moon.
And the British-born actor admitted he was surprised to see similar hoards of screaming fans in the UK that he had grown use to in other countries.
"I’m only here for a couple of hours. I used to live round the corner - it’s really bizarre being in Battersea Park. It’s so funny being close to home and the same thing happens. I always thought it was a foreign thing," he admitted.
And R-Patz, who shot to fame playing the vampire Edward Cullen in the film adaption of Stephenie Meyer’s teen cult books, likened the craze to a "virus", claiming that it seemed to have exploded quickly.
However, one point he did not elaborate on were the persistent rumours that he is dating co-star Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella in the films.
The pair were earlier snapped arm-in-arm but have continued to remain tight-lipped over whether romance is blossoming in real life, as well as on the big screen.
