Susan Boyle sees dream come true
By admin • Nov 30th, 2009Susan Boyle is not only living the dream, she is also creating history, after her new record became the worldwide fastest selling debut album by a woman of all time.
The Scottish singer, who first came to the public’s attention less than one year ago on ITV1 show Britain’s Got Talent, stormed to the top of the charts with her album I Dreamed A Dream at the weekend.
And Britons rushed out last week to buy their own copies, with over 410,000 albums being snatched from the shelves.
The new record sees Susan replace pervious holder Leona Lewis, who also found success on an ITV1 talent show.
However, it appears Susan is letting her album do the talking for her, saying just "it’s fantastic" when told about the news.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell admitted he had been "incredibly judgemental" when he first saw her.
"I think Susan is going to help an awful lot of people who didn’t have the confidence to do this and realise that actually if you are determined and talented and people like you, you don’t have to conform to what the music business has previously said," he added.
Will you be buying Susan’s album?
