Is Kate Moss Getting Hinced?
By admin • Jan 19th, 2010Kate Moss is arguably the last woman any of us expect to see bidding goodbye to the late night parties to spend her days keeping house for a husband and baking cakes, but it seems the model is ready to settle down, if not slow down.
Reports this week have suggested the style icon and Topshop designer has got engaged to her long-term partner, guitarist Jamie Hince from The Kills.
Saturday (January 16th) was the supermodel’s 36th birthday and Jamie took the occasion as a chance to pop the question after dating on and off for over two years following her split from Pete Doherty.
Kate was working in Mustique when Jamie flew out to meet her and get down on one knee, offering her a ring it is reported he chose with the help of Kate’s boss, Topshop tycoon Philip Green.
The news comes just days after it was claimed in 2002 she had an affair with Prince Emmanuele Filiberto Umberto Reza Maria Di Savoia, heir to the former Italian throne.
Speaking to the Sun, the prince said they had been romantically involved for eight months and that the model was "fascinating" and "not weird at all".
In the past, Kate has enjoyed long-term romances with former Libertines frontman Pete and Hollywood star Johnny Depp, while she also has an eight-year-old daughter - Lila Grace - with journalist Jefferson Hack.
The happy couple were spotted kissing after the alleged proposal and friends have suggested they are in a good place, while they already live together, according to the Daily Mail.
A source told the newspaper: "It was the first time they had been alone together in quite a while and it was extremely emotional.
"Kate and Jamie are in a very good place, they already live together and this is the next step to settling down for good."
However, the 3am gossip blog stated the model was getting engaged to "another ugly man", after leaving "original ugly music man" Pete.
"Kate Moss must be really losing it - she’s decided to get engaged to a Sesame Street puppet," is stated.
But after bagging a four-year romance with Johnny Depp, I don’t think anyone could accuse Kate of having bad taste.
So now, all eyes will be on what dress the uber-stylish model decides to wear to walk down the aisle - it may even be her own design.
Although, from what we know about Kate, the big day is likely to be anything but traditional and people may be waiting a long time to see her settle down and start baking cakes for her lucky man.
Do you think Kate will go through with tying the knot?
