Jordan ‘Wants More Bling For Baby Range’
By admin • May 25th, 2010Whatever people think about Katie Price, there is no denying that she has certainly tried her hand at a number of different professions.
Glamour model, pop singer, reality TV star, baby and sports clothes designer - Price, also known as Jordan, clearly has several strings to her bow.
And now the mother-of-three is planning to design her own baby buggy range as well.
However, when she is working on her creations, Price admits that she does not always get her own way.
Appearing live on stage at the NEC Baby Show to present her new infant clothing range, KP Baby, she said: "I didn’t manage to get a lot [of sparkle] on because of the safety regulations, but in America everything is bling – from bottles to dummies. I’m trying to get it so it will pass."
And she added that she now plans to have a go at designing buggies, telling the manufacturers on display at the show that they were not "pretty" or "girlie" enough.
The ever-modest Price claimed that hers would be "blingy" and better than the baby carriers currently on sale.
Meanwhile, Price, who is married to cage-fighter Alex Reid, hinted at plans to extend her family as she launched her range.
"It’s a shame I really want to be pregnant because there are so many stands here where I could get loads of fabulous stuff," she said.
She tied the knot with Reid shortly after he won the Celebrity Big Brother title, just months after she had broken up with him live on I’m A Celebrity.
As most celeb fans know, Price has been married before, to Peter Andre, with whom she has two children, along with her other son from her relationship with Dwight Yorke.
When she got married to Andre, Price certainly put her own bling stamp on proceedings, arriving in a pink pumpkin-style carriage and dresses in a huge pink dress with layers upon layers of skirts.
She also opted for a pink jewelled tiara rather than the traditional veil.
However, her wedding with Reid was much more low-key, with the couple having a quiet ceremony in Las Vegas, although it is thought they are set to renew their vows this summer.
The pair are reported to be trying to have a baby. It could be said that the tot would be the official model for Price’s new clothing range.
Indeed, in a note on her KP Baby range website, she said: "Now that I’m happily married to Alex, I can’t wait to have another baby. Alex and I hope we’ll have exciting news to share with you soon and that it won’t be long before we have Baby Reid to model a KP Baby collection!"
She admitted that while the last year had been full of ups and downs, her kids had always kept her going during the bad times, telling new mums that they would soon be fulfilled in a way they could not have thought possible.
