Kids Clothes To Indulge The Inner Fashionista
By admin • Feb 23rd, 2010While we are all quick to lap up the latest pictures of Katie Holmes, Angelina Jolie, Gwen Stefani and Victoria Beckham to see what they are wearing, more and more it is their kids we are looking to for inspiration.
In fact, Suri Cruise, the Jolie-Pitt brood, Kingston Rossdale and the Beckham boys are easily some of the most stylish kids, and indeed people, on the block right now.
As a result, many mums are keen to ensure their own babies and kids look equally as stylish as their famous counterparts by dressing them in the latest on-trend clobber.
Georgina Wintersgill, features editor at Prima Baby, explains many women are keen to indulge their inner fashionista by making sure their children dress to impress.
"Because children’s clothes and baby and toddler clothes are so good now and they are also so fashionable you can indulge your own inner fashionista by dressing your two year-old daughter," she notes.
Ms Wintersgill goes on to state many of the women she knows often step out with two-year-olds who are dressed better than them because there are so many trendy outfits available for little ones at the moment.
However, making sure your children are the most fashionable in the playground does not have to mean breaking the bank.
According to Ms Wintersgill, value for money should be a priority for mums and dads shopping for kids’ clothes as they will grow out of them so quickly quality is not so much of an issue.
She recommends looking out for stylish garments while doing the weekly supermarket shop, which is also a good way of letting children have some say in what they would like to wear.
Internet auction sites could also be a good place to look for a bargain, as are cut-price department stores such as Primark, she advises.
And the expert goes on to claim there is nothing wrong with letting little ones pick out their own clothes.
"I don’t think there is anything wrong with children choosing their own clothes in theory, because after all if they like an outfit they are more likely to get dressed without a farce," Ms Wintersgill notes.
Mums looking for the latest fashion inspiration for their kids may wish to look no further than Suri Cruise, who reportedly has a wardrobe worth millions of dollars.
However, they may wish to draw the line at makeup and heels, which the tot has been seen stepping out in in the past.
Indeed, the Daily Mail reports Suri was recently spotted put and about with mum Katie Holmes, where she was aloud to wear red lip-gloss to go to the theatre.
The newspaper also reports Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s twins have also been pictured with their A-list parents, with little Vivienne dressed in a snug knitted bobble hat, while Knox wore a black beanie similar to the headwear favoured by his famous dad.
Do you like to make sure your kids are fashionably dressed?
