By admin • Feb 24th, 2010Despite singing about how she was willing to Fight For This Love, Cheryl Cole has announced she is to split form her husband, Chelsea footballer Ashley.
Following allegations that he has cheated on and sent explicit text messages to women behind the back of the Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge, Cheryl has decided to call time on her four-year marriage.
In 2008, reports emerged that claimed Ashley had slept with a hairdresser while with Cheryl, but the singer reportedly forgave him and decided to give their relationship a second chance.
However, following the allegations of recent weeks, it may be the number one selling artist has decided enough is enough.
According to the Mirror, Cheryl is currently hiding away in the couple’s mansion and is too distraught to talk to anyone.
Following the reports last week, Cheryl bravely went ahead with a performance at the Brit Awards, however, she is said to now be spending time alone, too upset even to confide in her mum.
A friend of the star’s told the newspaper: "She is focused now on the future. She feels very let down, especially as this has been played out in public. The humiliation is hard to bear."
The source added Cheryl is now set to concentrate on her career.
