Cheryl ‘Starts Divorce Proceedings’

Cheryl Cole has this week launched divorce proceedings against her allegedly cheating husband Ashley.
However, it could be said that unlike the more traditional WAG, Cheryl will not be asking for a single penny of Ashley’s considerable footballer fortune.
And in addition to letting Ashley keep his bank balance, it is reported that the singer is also putting the nation’s hopes for a World Cup victory first, by making a "clean break" so that the left-back can concentrate on the tournament.
A source told the Sun: "Cheryl made a swift decision to put England’s World Cup dreams ahead of herself. The divorce should be finalised before England’s first touch of the ball in South Africa on June 12."
Her decision for a swift split - citing Ashley’s "unreasonable behaviour" as grounds for divorce - means that Ashley will also keep the Surrey mansion the couple shared together.
Ashley is reported to have cheated on Cheryl at several points during their almost six-year relationship and also sent explicit texts to a model.
Meanwhile, Cheryl’s career continues to be on the up and it is rumoured she will head to the US when the American version of the X Factor is launched.
She is also reportedly growing close to Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am as she supports the band on their UK tour.
