But Cheryl Cole is unlikely to have to worry about her ex spilling the beans on the details of their high-profile marriage and its subsequent breakdown any time soon, after reportedly serving her estranged husband with a gagging order.
According to the Sunday Mirror, the pop star and X Factor judge is keen to get a "quickie" divorce and as part of the proceedings she has imposed a lifelong gagging order on the Chelsea footballer preventing from ever speaking publicly about their time together.
In addition, a lawyer’s letter allegedly sent by the Girls Aloud singer to Ashley also stipulates that he does not try to contact her for six months after the divorce.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to get the divorce finalised as soon as possible, Cheryl is reported to have made it clear she does not want any of Ashley’s £10 million fortune, but that she will pay him £3 million for his share of the mansion they share together in Surrey.
However, it could be argued that Cheryl has plenty of pennies stashed away not to have to fight for a chunk of Ashley’s cash, after the Sunday Times Rich List revealed that her bank balance increased by 150 per cent to a cool £10 million last year.
