Mark Owen Admits To Affairs
By admin • Mar 11th, 2010It seems barely a week goes by without revelations in the tabloids that yet another footballer has cheated on his wife, however, the latest celebrity admission of infidelity has come from a most unlikely source.
Mark Own has this week admitted to cheating on his long-term love Emma - who he married last year at a Scottish castle - with ten different women.
Speaking to the Sun, the Take That star claimed that most of the incidents had been drunken one night stands while touring with the band, although one affair, with an accounts manager he met at Preston railway station, lasted five years.
The singer told his wife about his infidelities yesterday (March 10th) and claimed he had been "an idiot".
Mark said he was making his confession so that he and Emma - who is mother to his son Elwood, three, and Willow Rose, one, could wipe the slate clean and start again.
"I have been living with the guilt. It has always been there - you carry it around with you. I wouldn’t have done any of this if I had my time again," he told the newspaper.
The 38-year-old added that his wife loved him but that he had let her down and that she is "absolutely without a doubt" the only person he wants to spend his life with.
Neva Hanley, 24, who Mark had an affair with for five years, spent the night with him just one month before he tied the knot.
