Potter Wrap ‘Leaves Radcliffe In Tears’
By admin • Jun 17th, 2010He was just a child when it began but there is no denying that Daniel Radcliffe has become a man during his time at the helm of the Harry Potter franchise.
However, the 20-year-old Brit actor was not ashamed to admit that he and his co-stars were left in tears as they filmed their last scenes for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which will be the final instalment in the tale of the boy who attends a school for wizards.
Appearing at the Radio City Music Hall for the Tony Awards, Radcliffe told the Associated Press: "Everyone was really devastated. It was really, really sad. We were crying quite a lot. It’s a weird, weird feeling."
And it is little wonder, as the actor, along with his co-stars Rupert Grint and Emma Watson appeared in the first of the franchise’s movies in 2001, when they were still kids.
Along with the three main actors, the Harry Potter series has created a number of other stars, most notably Robert Pattinson, who after playing schoolboy Cedric Diggory found global fame playing the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga.
Radcliffe’s next role will see him treading the boards on Broadway.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been divided into two films, the first of which will hit the cinemas later this year.
