Robbie ‘Helping Mark With Drink Problem’
By admin • Mar 12th, 2010Just yesterday (March 11th), Mark Owen shocked us all as he admitted that he had cheated on his long-term love Emma ten times.
Now, the singer has revealed that over the course of the last decade he has been sliding towards alcoholism.
Luckily, his former Take That bandmate Robbie Williams - who has also battled drink demons in the past - has stepped in to lend his support as the singer goes through what is arguably one of the most difficult periods of his life.
The 38-year-old told the Sun that he informed the rest of Take That about his drinking battle just a few weeks ago and that he has also spoken to Robbie about it, but that while his pals may have suspected something was wrong, he has always tried to avoid involving other people.
Speaking about his infidelities, Mark said: "I want to make it absolutely clear I am not using the drink as an excuse. I’ve been living with the guilt. Maybe the drink was my way of dealing with the guilt, I don’t know."
The singer is now in therapy, but was snapped yesterday at the London home he shares with Emma and their children Elwood and Willow Rose, where the couple are believed to be in crisis talks.
It is believed Emma has thrown him out following his admission and she has also been pictured without her diamond-encrusted wedding band.
Are you pleased to hear Mark is battling the booze?
