X Factor Fans ‘Torn By Imbruglia Appearance’
By admin • Jun 16th, 2010She was the darling of Ramsey Street during her time on Neighbours and went on to have a best-selling single and album, but it would appear that many young people today have little knowledge of the achievements of Natalie Imbruglia.
Indeed, as she stepped in to fill Dannii Minogue’s shoes as she prepares to have her first baby, the actress and singer - who had a seemingly unforgettable hit in the 90s with Torn - was heckled by two contestants as she sat on the X Factor judging panel recently.
According to a source for the Sun, Natalie was sitting in for Dannii at the NEC in Birmingham when she criticised two 18-year-old girls’ performance of the Journey hit Don’t Stop Believin’.
After Simon Cowell told them that neither was very good, Natalie echoed his comments, only to have one of the girls ask: "Sorry, who are you?"
"Poor Natalie couldn’t believe it and Simon told them they had a bad attitude," the source added.
And Natalie’s run of bad luck did not end there, with her decision not to put through one 16-year-old boy for being "too young" resulting in her being heckled with shouts of "one-hit wonder" from members of the audience.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail claims that fans were "taken aback" when Natalie wore the same dress and shoes for two days in a row at the Birmingham auditions, while judge Cheryl Cole opted for two very different outfits.
Do you think Natalie is a worthy judge?
