Designer Handbags ‘Something Worth Saving For’
By admin • Mar 4th, 2010Victoria Beckham could easily receive the title of Queen of the Handbags, with a collection which must easily be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds and includes a whole rainbow of her own personal favourite - the Birkin.
Meanwhile, the average women may feel she is lucky to buy just one new handbag a year and even then it is likely to come without the designer status and price tag.
However, ladies could still give the former Spice Girl a run for her money, as one sector commentator has revealed saving for a designer bag is an attainable goal.
Belinda White, acting editor and fashion director handbag.com, says all women are obsessed with handbags as they are the finishing touch which can make an otherwise simple outfit really shine.
"When designer clothes are so expensive, a designer handbag can be an attainable treat to save for, something which can last for years and be passed down," she adds.
According to research by OnePoll, the average British woman will splash out over £4,000 on bags during her lifetime and at any time will own an average of 17 bags.
