Why Every Woman Should Have A Quality Handbag
By admin • Jun 3rd, 2010It is a well known fact that the majority of women tote almost all their belongings minus the kitchen sink in their handbags - with the carriers themselves growing ever bigger.
With this in mind, it could be assumed that ladies are carrying a significant amount of worth on their shoulder but it seems the value of the bag itself is starting to surpass the cost of its contents.
According to a recent survey by Churchill Home Insurance, women in their 30s will splash out an average of £113 on their favourite must-have bag.
And many take little time to ponder whether or not the item is a sensible investment, with 37 per cent of all female respondents revealing that they splashed cash for the bag after seeing it just once.
Of those in their 30s, nine per cent revealed that they had saved for between three months and one year before they bought their It bag.
Commenting on the findings, personal stylist Natasha Franklin said: "I’d say every woman needs a good quality bag.
"The thing about clothes is that they do generally change so much. Its more fashion influenced and they’re going to change [...] But I generally would say that you’ve got to have a good quality leather bag."
For ladies looking to take style inspiration from the Sex and the City girls in their latest movie outing, Ms Franklin advised teaming an over-sized clutch with large sunglasses and a pair of killer heels for a spot of high glamour.
