Will You Be Getting Cosmetic Surgery In New Year?
By admin • Dec 15th, 2009Many women may be looking forward to seeing the back of 2009 - which has been a year of recession, unemployment and tight budgets - and may be keen to kick off the new year in style.
However, those looking to turn over a new leaf may not wish to go to the extreme of doing it with a new face, but it has been predicted treatments with similar effects to cosmetic surgery will be popular in 2010.
According to a recent survey by Mintel, there will be a continuation of innovation of high-tech products which capitalise on biochemistry and treatments which offer cosmetic surgery alternatives over the next 12 months.
Commenting on the news, beauty and technology expert Zara Rabinowicz said: "Procedures such as Botox will become a lot more common, with more practitioners getting licensed up for them, alongside the rise in teeth whitening - partly due to the influence of shows like The X Factor."
However, women who are not keen to undergo such a drastic beauty regime may wish to stick with their trusty make-up bag instead.
Ms Rabinowicz predicted that heavy eyeliner and false lashes are likely to prove popular next year.
Would you consider cosmetic surgery, Botox or teeth whitening in the name of beauty?
